76-year-old woman killed in 412 bypass crash

PARAGOULD, Ark. – A 76-year-old woman was killed in a wreck on the Highway 412 bypass in Greene County on Tuesday, May 23.

At 11:32 a.m. Tuesday morning, Darlene Crawford, 76, of Kennett, Mo., was driving east on Highway 412 bypass when her 2011 Ford crossed into westbound traffic, the Arkansas State Police Crash Report states. The vehicle went back on the shoulder again and hit a guardrail, striking a 2016 Peterbuilt truck head-on.

In the mayhem, a 1996 Jeep struck the rear of the Ford.

Crawford was killed in the accident.

Conditions were listed as clear with dry roads at the time of the crash.

The report was completed at 4:47 p.m. (An earlier version incorrectly stated the time of the crash as this. We regret the error).
