JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro man was seriously injured a car-motorcycle accident in the 4400 block of East Johnson Avenue Tuesday night.
Witnesses told JPD Traffic Division Officer Francisco Matos that the accident occurred when Chevrolet Malibu automobile driven eastbound on Johnson by Stacye Johnson of Jonesboro slowed to make a right turn into 4405 East Johnson, and a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Johnson behind the car attempted to pass the car on the shoulder to avoid a rear-end collision with the car. JESUP, Ark. – A woman has died after crashing into a tree, the Arkansas State Police crash report says.
The tragic incident happened shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday evening on Highway 115 in Jesup, the report said. A 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Stephanie N. Hufford, 35, of Smithville, was traveling eastbound on the highway. Cpl. Anthony Dail with state police reported the vehicle was navigating a curve when it left the roadway, striking a tree. JONESBORO, Ark. – A local man was killed in a traffic accident late Thursday in Craighead County.
It happened at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, according to an Arkansas State Police crash report. Keith Spranger Jr, 56, of Jonesboro, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet northbound on Nestle Road. JONESBORO, Ark. – An accident report indicates failure to yield by an SUV as the cause of the wreck Tuesday night on Johnson Avenue which claimed the life of a motorcycle rider.
Jonesboro police have also released the names of the two involved in the fatal wreck, including the deceased.
Christopher Harrison, 27, of Corning, died from injuries sustained in the Tuesday night wreck. JPD reports it happened at 9:09 p.m. at East Johnson Avenue and University Loop. A 2012 GMC Terrain, driven by Caleb King, 21, of Jonesboro, was in the turning lane on East Johnson preparing to turn south onto University Loop. JONESBORO, Ark. – A head-on collision was reported Friday afternoon in Jonesboro.
It happened on a hill section of Hasbrook Road, Craighead Road 333, near the intersection of Craighead 340.
