JONESBORO, Ark. – A cup of coffee and a conversation with a police officer are the only two items on the agenda for Dec. 15’s upcoming event.
It’s called Coffee With a Cop and it is happening from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Chick-Fil-A on Red Wolf Boulevard in Jonesboro Thursday, Dec. 15.
JPD’s Information Specialist Paul Holmes said the department is partnering with Chick-Fil-A to do the program because of success which has been seen with other departments participating in the nationwide program.
“The idea behind this program is for officers and citizens to have conversations over a cup of coffee,” Holmes said. “There is no pressure to talk about anything specific and it is, in fact, meant to be agenda free.”
Community members can learn about the police department’s work. Officers will share tips for having a safe holiday, keeping your home secure, navigating holiday traffic or having a safe shopping trip.
Interested residents are invited to attend.
