JONESBORO, Ark. — The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host USDA food distributions in Craighead County on April 1, 2026, providing assistance to eligible households on a first-come, first-served basis.
Distributions will take place from 9 to 11 a.m., or until food runs out, at two locations: First National Bank Arena at Arkansas State University, located at 217 Olympic Drive in Jonesboro, and the Caraway Housing Authority at 325 Missouri St. in Caraway. The Jonesboro distribution will be held in Lot G near the Yellow Entrance, with entry via Olympic Drive.
Households receiving USDA foods must reside in Craighead County and may receive assistance once per month. Participants must meet income guidelines established for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
To determine eligibility, recipients must self-declare their name, address, family size, and combined monthly household income.
Officials said individuals may only pick up food for their own household unless they have been designated as an authorized representative for another qualified household. Those picking up food for a shut-in, elderly person, or another household must provide signed authorization including the recipient’s name, address, family size, and combined monthly income. Case workers collecting food for larger groups must make prior arrangements with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.
The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and the U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibit discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal for prior civil rights activity. Staff and volunteers will use translation tools to assist individuals with limited English proficiency.
