Jonesboro Woman Arrested on Trafficking Charge After Traffic Stop

JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro suspect is facing a felony trafficking charge after a traffic stop led officers to allegedly recover a large quantity of methamphetamine, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Craighead County.

Tresea Ann Worlow, 58, of Jonesboro, was arrested on a charge of trafficking a controlled substance, a Class Y felony.

According to the affidavit, officers were parked near the intersection of East Nettleton Avenue and Pardew Street on Jan. 11, 2026, when they observed a red Hyundai SUV traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. An officer noted the vehicle appeared to abruptly brake and turn into a residence on Pardew Street without using a turn signal.

The affidavit states officers made contact with the driver and a passenger and advised the driver of the traffic violation. Officers noted the driver appeared nervous, avoided eye contact, and continued to fidget during the encounter. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was a rental and that both occupants were run through dispatch.

A K-9 unit was deployed and gave a positive alert for narcotics on the vehicle, according to the affidavit. A search of the vehicle did not initially reveal any contraband.

The affidavit states that while Worlow was being searched, an officer observed her repeatedly adjusting her clothing. Officers then located a large clear plastic bag concealed inside Worlow’s pants containing a white crystalline substance. The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine and was weighed at approximately 227 grams, or about half a pound, according to the affidavit.

Worlow was arrested and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center, where she was held pending a probable cause hearing.

On Monday in district court, prosecutors recommended home confinement as a condition of release. District Judge David Boling set bail at $50,000 cash or surety. Worlow’s next court date is scheduled for Feb. 27.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
