JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro defendant is accused of possessing nearly 400 grams of marijuana packaged for delivery and maintaining a drug premises after officers stopped his vehicle and conducted probation searches, according to an affidavit from Jonesboro Police.
On Nov. 29, 2025, around 8 p.m., an officer observed a gray Tesla traveling west on Race Street with an expired license plate. The officer reported that the vehicle made a right turn into the Sam’s Club parking lot without signaling and failed to stop before turning.
After making contact with the driver — Patrick Bernard Reed, 25, of Jonesboro — the officer wrote that he smelled marijuana coming from the car. Reed allegedly told the officer he had weed on him and produced a plastic bag containing about 16 grams of a green leafy substance not in a dispensary container.
The officer ran Reed’s information and learned he was on active felony probation. A probation search of the vehicle located more than $1,200 in cash, police said.
Reed refused to unlock his phone for a probation search and was arrested. Officers then transported him to his listed probation address on the 3800 block of Twufray Drive for a residence search. Before the search, Reed told officers he no longer lived there, but his probation records still listed the address.

The total marijuana weighed 397 grams, or just under 14 ounces.
Officers also found a bowl with marijuana residue, a set of digital scales, clear plastic baggies, a vacuum-sealed bag with residue, and approximately $2,360 in U.S. currency, according to the affidavit.
