PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he assaulted two people with a knife during a disturbance while seven children were in the room.
On Aug. 23, 2025, officers responded to a home in the 900 block of North Fourth Street for a disturbance. A victim reported an altercation with their father, Carl Morgan, who allegedly came after them with a knife. A second victim told police that Morgan injured them during the altercation.
Officers noted the second victim had two injuries — a small laceration on their wrist and a puncture wound on their back. Witnesses at the home corroborated the victims’ accounts, police said.
Police also reported seven juveniles were inside the room where the disturbance took place.
Morgan, 33, is facing charges of second-degree battery, aggravated assault on a family or household member, and seven counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. All charges are Class D felonies.
Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, along with a no-contact order, a ban on weapons, and a requirement to wear an ankle monitor.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
