PARAGOULD, Ark. — A man is facing several felony and misdemeanor charges after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and a firearm, a report with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department said.
The probable cause affidavit says on January 9, 2025, Sergeant Colby Drope with the GCSD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on North 2nd Street for no liability insurance.
During the encounter, police noticed a Ziploc baggie in the passenger seat in plain view containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The deputy conducted a probable cause search on the vehicle and the driver and reported finding a white powdery-like substance consistent with cocaine in the driver’s front left and right pants pockets, inside a baggie and a vial.
While continuing the search, the deputy found a plastic bag containing more suspected marijuana in the center console, a digital scale, and a Springfield Armory XP5 pistol in the dashboard.
3.88 grams of suspected cocaine and 36.17 grams of suspected marijuana were recovered.
Sean Miller, 23, is facing charges including simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a Class Y felony; possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver, a Class B felony; possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; and various traffic infractions.
A $500,000 bond was set for Miller by Judge Dan Stidham. Miller was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and not to possess any weapons.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
