Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Rural Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Ark. – A small plane experienced some sort of issue that forced it to make an emergency landing on Thursday in a rural area of Greene County.

At 12: 22 PM, deputies were at a scene west of Hwy 168 N near Highway 412, according to Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder, where a small passenger plane had made an emergency landing. Preliminary reports indicate that the pilot experienced engine failure and was forced to conduct an emergency landing.

Fortunately, the pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft, and no injuries have been reported.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified about the incident.

Despite the emergency, the photo from the scene reveals minimal to no damage to the plane. The sheriff complemented the skills of the pilot for being able to make an emergency landing without more damage.
