Woman Accused of Knife Attack On Two People in Domestic Dispute

JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro woman is facing a felony charge after police responded to an incident of domestic violence earlier this week in which she is accused of attacking two others with a knife.

It happened between 8:30 AM and 8:50 AM on Dec. 13 near the 1300-block of Aggie Road. Police were dispatched to a call of a disturbance with weapons. Officers arrived and arrested Courtney Nicole Bowers, 37, of Jonesboro.

The report alleges that the arrestee cut two victims with a knife. The first victim, identified as the boyfriend, sustained a cut to the edge of his left eyebrow. The second victim, a female family member, suffered a cut on the left hand. Police recovered a folding pocket knife with rust and a reddish-brown substance on the blade, listing its owner as Bowers.

Additionally, the report notes that drug use was a suspected factor in the events described.
