Residential Burglary Report: Over $8,000 in Copper Wiring Stolen

JONESBORO, Ark. – A residential burglary reported to the police this week in Jonesboro involved the theft of over $8,000 in copper wiring, among other items, according to the incident report.

Although the report was filed this week, the incident occurred between October 16 and October 17 at the 400-block of Ridgecrest Street. The break-in targeted a rental property at the address, resulting in significant damage. Besides the stolen copper wiring, the thieves made off with a refrigerator, the report says.

Adding to the situation, extensive damage was inflicted on the home itself. Multiple windows were shattered, and several holes were knocked into the walls, evidencing the suspects’ efforts to strip wiring from the property.

Presently, authorities have no identified suspects. However, if the situation changes, those responsible could face multiple felony charges, including burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.
