PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Greene County man was arrested last week on a felony charge of second-degree sexual assault after a minor alleged inappropriate touching on multiple occasions.
Christian Ellison, 32, was arrested last week for felony second-degree sexual assault. According to jail records, he was booked into the Greene County Detention Center at 11:03 PM on October 19.
The probable cause affidavit, released by Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder, states that on August 28, the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline received a referral regarding a minor female who had allegedly been sexually assaulted at a residence in Greene County.
On September 27, a forensic interview was conducted with the minor female, who is under the age of 14, at the sheriff’s department. During the interview, the girl told authorities that Ellison had touched her breasts on the inside of her clothing while she was staying at his house in Greene County on more than one occasion.
District Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause to issue a warrant for Ellison’s arrest on the charge of second-degree sexual assault. Ellison’s bond was set at $50,000, and he bonded out on Monday evening, as indicated in jail records.
Second-degree sexual assault involves individuals who are 18 years of age or older engaging in sexual contact with someone who is less than 14 years of age. It is a Class B felony and can result in 5 to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $15,000
