JONESBORO, Ark. — Two men in Jonesboro were arrested this week when the Street Crimes Unit (SCU) arrived at their residence with an arrest warrant, leading to additional charges.
The incident took place between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM on October 3 at the 400-block of McClure Street. The SCU had gone to the address to apprehend Alexander Read, against whom a felony warrant had been issued. Upon their arrival, investigators made contact at the garage door entrance, but Ryan Gunner Gilreath fled out the back door and was subsequently apprehended, according to the report.
Read was later found hiding under his bed, where narcotics and paraphernalia were also discovered.
Police found drug paraphernalia, including two broken glass pipes and suspected crystal methamphetamine.
During the incident, a 4-year-old male child was reportedly present.
Both individuals, 29-year-old Alexander Read and 21-year-old Ryan Gunner Gilreath, residents of Jonesboro, were arrested on charges that include possession of meth or cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing, obstructing governmental operations, and multiple warrants.
