Jonesboro Mother Arrested for Leaving Children Home Alone While Partying

JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro mother was arrested for leaving her one-year-old and nine-year-old home alone while she was out partying, according to a police report.

The incident occurred Friday night/early Saturday when police were dispatched regarding children left alone. The location and names are masked to protect the children. However, the report reveals that a 9-year-old female and a 1-year-old male were left at home alone while the 25-year-old mother was at a bar/nightclub, where she was subsequently arrested, as per the police report.

The suspect’s name was not released in the report. She faces two misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor from the incident. These charges are Class A misdemeanors, each carrying a potential penalty of one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.

Her next court date is November 8.
