JONESBORO, Ark. (September 1, 2023) – St. Bernards Advocates will host its annual Butterfly Release celebration and remembrance event on Sunday, September 10 in honor or memory of regional residents affected by hospice care.
The program, supporting the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, begins at 2 p.m. in the St. Bernards Imaging Center parking lot, adjacent to the Hospice House. Participants are encouraged to purchase individual or groups of butterflies prior to a releasing ceremony, celebrating life. All proceeds from butterfly purchases benefit the Hospice House.
This year’s ceremony includes a “Friend of Hospice” purchase option, allowing supporters to receive an original butterfly art piece by local artist Andrea Alpe along with 10 butterflies. Individual butterflies may be purchased for $15, 10 butterflies for $135 and the Friend of Hospice option for $500. The purchase deadline is Monday, September 4.
As background, the St. Bernards Advocates group includes young professionals who volunteer and raise funds to help support St. Bernards programs, including Butterfly Release. St. Bernards Imaging Center is located at 1144 East Matthews Avenue in Jonesboro.
