Jonesboro Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Girlfriend with Firearm; Faces Multiple Felony Charges

JONESBORO, Ark. — A local man faces felony charges after allegedly threatening his girlfriend with a firearm this week.

The incident occurred between 1:40 and 2:03 p.m. at the 700 block of Gladiolus Drive. Jaxon Edward Perry, 19, of Jonesboro, was arrested on charges of felony aggravated assault on a family or household member and felony first-degree terroristic threatening.

Authorities were called after Perry had left the residence. The victim, identified in the report as an 18-year-old girlfriend, said Perry had threatened her with a firearm following an argument that escalated into domestic violence. A 23-year-old female witness was also listed in the report, and a 1-year-old girl was present at the time.

Multiple officers were involved in Perry’s arrest, according to records.

Perry remains in custody at the Craighead County Detention Center as of this report.
