JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect allegedly posed as a landscaping company worker to scope out a home he later burglarized, according to a police report.

The incident occurred between noon and 2 p.m. on Aug. 29 on the 300-block of Brentwood Drive. The suspect “used the ruse of a landscaping company to case the home and eventually break in,” the report stated.

Items stolen in the burglary amounted to a felony theft, totaling between $1,000 and $5,000. Residential burglary itself is also a felony charge.

Elton D. Kramer, 37, of Harrisburg, is listed as the suspect in the report.

Records show that Kramer was previously booked into the Poinsett County Jail at 11:07 a.m. on Aug. 18 for theft of property involving debit card numbers and fraudulent use of a credit card. He is not currently in custody.
