
JONESBORO, Ark. – An early Sunday morning traffic stop ended with a woman arrested on drug charges in Jonesboro.
It began around 3:38 AM on April 16 near the intersection of Burke Avenue and McClure Street. Officer Trevor Vanhouten conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevy Tahoe for failure to stop at a stop sign. After making contact with the driver and checking her details with dispatch, he learned she was on probation.
Police began a probation search of the vehicle. Authorities found marijuana, a white crystal substance, and several pills. A suspected meth pipe was also found.
Angela K. Tate, 47, of Jonesboro, was arrested. Charges listed include possession of meth or cocaine, drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, furnishing, possessing or using prohibited items, and possession charges for both the marijuana and pills.
