Trumann woman arrested in stabbing

TRUMANN, Ark. – A Trumann woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing three and assaulting another during an early morning fight in Trumann.

At about 1:43 AM Monday, the Jonesboro Police Department notified the Trumann Police Department of a stabbing victim that had entered the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. Two others that had been assaulted arrived at the hospital later.

TPD found through their investigation that Sheila Watson, 47, of Trumann, allegedly stabbed three victims and assaulted others during a fight that occurred on Main Street and was said to be over a basketball game that had occurred earlier at Cedar Park. One victim was reported in critical condition.

Watson is being held in lieu of a Probable Cause hearing for three counts of Battery I and one count of Battery II, as well as a Probation Violation.

All victims have been released from the hospital, a later update from TPD said.
