Man wanted for Greene County shooting

Greene County authorities are looking for a man that is alleged to have shot another with an AR-15.

Around 4:45 pm on Monday, authorities received a 911 call of a shooting on county road 716. After the shooting, the suspect reportedly ran from the residence into a wooded area off 716 road.

Several departments helped in the search for the shooter, including the Greene County Sheriff Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Highway Police, Craighead County Sheriff Department, Paragould K9 unit and Jonesboro Police Department.

A release from the Greene County sheriff said during the investigation, it was learned that Colton Hardin, 34, of the Finch area had been in an argument with another man about a missing gun. Police believe Hardin was looking for the weapon. During the argument, the other person was said to have told Hardin he didn’t know anything about the other gun.

The sheriff said at that time, Hardin pulled an AR-15 and fired several rounds striking that person in the right leg. He was transported to a hospital in Jonesboro.
