Early Friday shooting leaves one injured; one in custody

Jonesboro Police were investigating an early morning shooting that left one male injured Friday.

A suspect is in custody, authorities said.

Around 1:40 a.m., a call was received regarding shots fired in the 2500 block of Middlefield. Officers responded and discovered blood and shell casings in the driveway.

First responders discovered the victim in a personal vehicle at the intersection of Caraway RD and Highland Drive. He was flown to Memphis for treatment.

The suspect was apprehended on scene and taken to CCDC.

CID began their investigation, JPD said in a release. No other details were given.
