A teacher and coach who resigned from the Jonesboro School District in 2020 was arrested Thursday morning in Jonesboro.
JPD Officers with the Internet Crimes Against Children Division and Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on a home Thursday morning in south Jonesboro.
Officers arrested 38 year old Blake Davis. Davis is being charged with “Distribute/Possess/Viewing Matter Depicting Sexual Conduct Involving a Child” in relation to videos and images located on Davis’ computer involving juveniles.
Davis was given a temporary bond of $250k and will go before the judge Friday for a Probable Cause hearing, JPD said in a release.
Davis resigned as a teacher and coach at Jonesboro School District on January 24, 2020. A press release from the school had indicated he had “expressed remorse” for using social media in an inappropriate fashion with students.
