Police release footage of catalytic converter thief

JONESBORO, Ark. – There may be an opportunity to catch a catalytic converter thief in Jonesboro, thanks to newly released security footage.

On Wednesday, September 2, Police were dispatched to U-Storage located on Neill Drive for a theft of a catalytic convertor.

A small four-door passenger car pulls up to 1020 Neil DR around 4:30 a.m. The vehicle is on camera leaving Neil Cv before the theft. The vehicle has a spare tire on the passenger front.

The car returns a short time later and a male passenger exits the vehicle and removes the catalytic converter from the U-Haul truck. The vehicle leaves southbound on Neil.

  1. The cops need to get cell tower records for the time of the theft and see what phones were in the area.

    Then get records from each other theft area and from that see any commonalities of phones in the area.

    Monitor those phones and track their movements.
