
JONESBORO, Ark. – A victim walked into a local emergency room suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper left thigh Tuesday afternoon in Jonesboro, a police report released on Wednesday said.
The incident happened between 3 and 4 PM at the 900-block of Cate Avenue, the police report states. A suspect shot the victim in the leg with a handgun at a residence, according to the report’s MO. Authorities believe the assault took place from an argument. The male suspect’s information was masked in the report but police noted he was an acquaintance to the victim.
Authorities from the Criminal Investigation Division spent much of Tuesday and Wednesday investigating the case but most of the report was masked from public view. No arrests were noted in the report.

A car was stolen sometime early Wednesday from the 400-block of Ridgecrest. It was located sometime after 3 AM abandoned in the 400-block of West Highland Drive, at a residential address. No arrests were made. The car was returned to the owner, who had left the keys in the vehicle overnight.
A black and gray dirt bike was reported stolen around 3:25 AM Wednesday from a front porch at the 900-block of Cate Avenue.
A suspicious vehicle call led to a 22 year old Trumann man being arrested with felony and misdemeanor narcotics and paraphernalia. It was around 2 AM at the 2900-block of Phillips Drive.
An 18-year-old male overdosed on acid Tuesday night at a masked location in Jonesboro. It was reported at 10:34 PM. Multiple officers responded to try to gain control of the young man, who was reportedly kicking, screaming, and struggling to get free. He was described as having a violent hallucinogenic psychotic episode.
A 14-year-old was arrested after allegedly threatening his mother with a knife Tuesday in Jonesboro. The incident happened between 2:15 PM and 3 PM at a location in Jonesboro that was masked. Police reported that he admitted he was upset that he wasn’t getting his way and stated he picked up the knife, threatening to stab the victim. He was arrested for an aggravated assault on a family or household member charge.
Someone broke into a tornado damaged home and stole a television set at the 700-block of Laura Lea. The victim noticed it Tuesday after having previously been staying at another location.
A semi-trailer was stolen from a field off of Nestle Road sometime between Feb. 27 and May 12, a report filed on Tuesday said. The victim, Great Dane, valued it at $28,000.
A report filed after 1 PM Tuesday accused a man of displaying a handgun and threatening to shoot a car at the 2000-block of North Church Street. No arrests were noted.
The owner of Jonesboro electric reported several items stolen on Tuesday. The theft took place between May 1 and 2, the report said, with a former employee allegedly stealing a felony amount of goods (over $1,000, less than $5,000).
