Two arrested for armed robbery of Trumann gas station

Trumann, Ark. – Trumann Police Department made two arrests on Monday (11/25/19) following an investigation of an armed robbery at the Valero Convenience Store, 800 Speedway, Trumann, Arkansas on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Michael Murray, 36, of Little Rock and a male juvenile, 17, of Blytheville are both being charged with Aggravated Burglary. The juvenile is also being charged with Aggravated Assault.

Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington said, “Due to the violent nature of his assault on this victim, we will be pursuing charges on this juvenile as an adult.”

“There is significant physical evidence tying these two individuals to this crime,” according to Chadwick Henson, Chief of Police in Trumann. Chief Henson continued, “Investigators have worked non-stop to find these two individuals and present a rock-solid case to our prosecutors.”

Trumann Police Department would like to thank the Special Response Team from Arkansas Community Corrections as well as the Street Crimes Unit of Jonesboro Police Department for their professionalism and assistance with the apprehension of these suspects.

Murray will appear in Poinsett County District Court for a probable cause hearing on Wednesday, November 27 in Harrisburg. The juvenile will appear before a Circuit Judge within the next few days for a hearing.
