Suspect arrested in Jonesboro woman’s murder


JONESBORO, Ark. – Authorities have made an arrest in the murder of a local mother of three.

Late this afternoon, investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division were able to develop probable cause to issue a bench warrant for a suspect in last nights homicide, JPD said.

Corey McCullon, 31, of Trumann was taken into custody without incident by the Caruthersville PD & Pemiscot County SO.

The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are still conducting interviews and following up all leads.

McCullon was accused of a shooting September 5, 2016 in the Cedar Heights area of north Jonesboro. He was arrested the following day in Trumann. He charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the Second Degree. The case ended in a hung jury in July, 2018.

JPD was notified around 6:49 a.m. about a female who was found with a gunshot wound. Police identified Keisha Criglar, 29 of Jonesboro as the victim from an overnight homicide in the 600 block of Meadowbrook.

The investigation is still ongoing, more information will be released as details become available, police said.
