JONESBORO, Ark. – A man wanted for attempted murder was arrested Tuesday in Truman, police said.
An arrest warrant was issued for Corey Lamont McCullon of Trumann for the charge of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the Second Degree. The news came Tuesday afternoon in a release from Jonesboro Police Department. The warrant stems from a shooting that occurred on Monday, September 5th in which Jeremy Walker, of Jonesboro, was shot multiple times in the torso at 1823 Cedar Heights in Jonesboro.
Through a series of interviews and evidence located at the scene and elsewhere, Detective Sgt. Steve Richardson was able to identify McCullon as the suspect, according to a press release.
However a short time after it was sent, at about 4:41 p.m., McCullon was arrested in Trumann by Trumann Police Department, according to JPD Sgt. Cassie Brandon.
