Man robbed at gunpoint Monday in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – On an excessively busy Monday for JPD, even more happened than was already reported.

Tuesday afternoon, JPD released information about an aggravated robbery involving a man who was washing his vehicle when he was approached by three suspects wanting help with hauling a boat.

The man ended up with a gun pulled on him. Here is the full release from JPD:


On August 5, 2019 at approximately 4:28 p.m., officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were dispatched to North Patrick and Meadow Brooke in regards to an Aggravated Robbery that had already occurred.  The alleged victim stated to officers that he was in his driveway washing his vehicle on County Road 365 when he was approached by three suspects that wanted his help with hauling a boat.  He stated that the boat was not far from his home and he was given directions on where to drive.\

The man stated that when they arrived at the 1300 block of Daybreak Dr. a suspect emerged from the home and pulled a gun and he was ordered to run.

The suspects drove away from the area.

Police are looking for a blue 2008 GMC Sierra with tinted windows. The license plate number is 333RIH.  Please do not approach, if you happen to see the vehicle, call the Jonesboro Police Department at 935-5657.
