JONESBORO, Ark. – A victim is critical after shooting at an apartment complex in Jonesboro
On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 at approximately 10:15 pm, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded to a call where a subject had been shot. Officers located the victim in the 500 block of Belt Street after the victim had called for police assistance. Medical attention was provided and the shooting victim was later flown from a Jonesboro hospital by helicopter. The victim of the shooting was in critical condition at the time of the flight, but no update on their current condition has been made available since then.
The victim had informed responding Officers that shooting had taken place in the Caraway Commons Apartment Complex area and that they had driven to the 500 block of Belt St. after being shot.
Detectives were called to the scene and were able to locate evidence and speak to witnesses. The shooting is an active investigation and Detectives with the Jonesboro Police Department ask that if anyone has any information with regards to this incident to please contact them at 870-935-6710.
