I-55 Bridge inspection to require lane closure across Mississippi

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. – Crews conducting a routine inspection of the Interstate 55 Bridge over the Mississippi River between West Memphis and Memphis will require lane closures the next two weeks, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.

Beginning Monday, December 4 and continuing through Wednesday, December 6, the northbound, outside lane will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, December 6 and continuing through Tuesday, December 12, the southbound, outside lane will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

No lane closures are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov.
