JONESBORO, Ark. – If you’re interested in storms, tornadoes and weather, you should check out the Craighead County Skywarn group which is meeting this weekend.
At 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the basement of the Craighead County Courthouse Annex, the group will meet. It is open to the public, even if you’ve never attended a meeting before. The meeting will last about an hour.
The general meeting will focus on training and preparation for the second tornado season later this year. It is not a storm spotter certification class.
Members of Skywarn serve as the eyes on the front lines of storms and will watch areas for activity and report back to the weather service.
