
VIOLET HILL, Ark. – A small church in rural Izard County was destroyed by intentional fire, authorities report.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 7, 2017, the Izard County Sheriff’s Department received a call saying the Forrest Chapel Church on Arkansas Highway 56, between Violet Hill and Brockwell, was on fire.
Fire departments from Franklin, Horseshoe Bend, and Oxford responded. After the arrival of fire department personnel it was determined the fire had to have been set intentionally, the sheriff’s department reported.

This is so sad. Whoever did this seriously needs to find Jesus.
Are there any more pictures of this fire. I spent summers in Arkansas attending this church. My grandfather Walter Mason donated the land initially .. and my uncle Orgel Mason attended there for years and years. Thanks
