
JONESBORO, Ark. – Police are searching for the criminals responsible for breaking into a business over the weekend and stealing scrap metal.
At 11:55 a.m. on Saturday morning, JPD was sent to 101 South Gee Street over a burglary which happened from the prior two days. An area of the fence was cut to gain access to the inside of the building.
Inside of the building, several electrical boxes were in the floor, along with tools used to cause the damage and the theft still lying on the floor.
The three electrical boxes were estimated to have suffered $6,000 in damages with an unknown amount of copper being stolen from the business.
Investigators are working on the case. The suspects face at least three felonies, including criminal mischief, theft of scrap metal and commercial burglary.
