Guns and drugs found in Corning search

CORNING, Ark. – Clay County authorities are targeting felony drug users and their latest bust is evidence of that.

On Thursday night at about 7:46 p.m., Corning Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at the 1100-block of Garland Street in Corning. During their search, police reported finding a “substantial amount of drugs,” according to a Facebook update from the Clay County Sheriff’s Department. Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana were found along with several firearms.

Kevin Hensley, 47, Mary Hensley, 47, Shaman Stevens, 25, Daniel Jackson, 31, all of Corning, were arrested for Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Methamphetamine with purpose to Deliver, Drug Paraphernalia with Purpose to Manufacture, Proximity of Certain Facilities ( Enhanced Penalties)(means within 1000 ft. of a school, church, etc..), Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Use Meth, Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to Use, Possession of Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Kevin Hensley also faced an added charge of using a communication device.

Bonds were set in front of Honorable David Copelin and are as follows;

Kevin Hensley was set at $ 100,000 cash or surety
Mary Hensley was set at $ 50,000 cash or surety
Shaman Stevens was set at $ 50,000 cash or surety
Daniel Jackson was set at $ 25,000 cash or surety
