Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Occurs on Hwy 412 East Near Paragould

PARAGOULD, Ark. – A devastating traffic accident claimed two lives early Monday in Greene County.

At approximately 1:49 a.m. today, Paragould Emergency Services responded to the accident following a 911 call reporting a two-vehicle collision on Hwy 412 East near County Road 930. Deputies, along with personnel from the Paragould Police and Fire Departments, rushed to the location.

Upon arrival, responders were met with a distressing sight – debris strewn across all four lanes of the highway, with both drivers tragically trapped and deceased. Regrettably, both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by the Greene County Coroner’s Office.

As of 3:40 a.m., authorities cleared the crash site, and the affected stretch of highway has been reopened to traffic.

A trooper with Arkansas State Police was dispatched to conduct the investigation into the crash.

According to the preliminary fatal crash summary from ASP, Michael Robinson, 50, of Jonesboro, was driving a 2009 Ford Explorer westbound on Highway 412 at the same time Anyna Marie James, 48, of Senath, MO, was driving a 2016 Dodge Durango eastbound. The crash summary says the Ford Explorer crossed the center line and center turn lane into the eastbound lane directly into the path of the Durango, causing a head on collision.
