Police believe vehicle thief also broke into CWL

JONESBORO, Ark. – It may have been one very active criminal evening for a single suspect, if a Jonesboro police officer’s intuition proves correct.

At about 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, Jonesboro Police Department was sent to 105 West Johnson Avenue, the Jonesboro City Water & Light warehouse, in reference to a stolen vehicle. When they arrived, they spoke with a man who worked at the CWL Plant. He had left his vehicle at the parking lot of the location over the weekend only to return and find it stolen.

The vehicle is a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, silver in color. It was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Officers also investigated a break-in at the warehouse. While nothing was reported missing, a latent fingerprint was located near a face mark on a glass in the lobby.

Police believe the crimes may be related.
