TRUMANN, Ark. — Two adults were arrested and a juvenile was taken into custody during three recent theft investigations that led Trumann police to recover a stolen SUV, three four-wheelers, and other property, the department said.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
Jonesboro police notified the Trumann Police Department on Sept. 23 that a 2022 GMC Terrain reported stolen from St. Bernards Medical Center was traveling south on Interstate 555.
Trumann police said Officer Edwards located and stopped the vehicle. The driver, identified as Jacob C. Bell, was taken into custody.
Officers recovered the SUV and other property reported stolen from the hospital, including $420 in cash, according to police. Officers also reported finding suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Police said Bell faces allegations of theft by receiving valued at $25,000 or more; possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, excluding methamphetamine and cocaine, with purpose to deliver, involving between 2 and 28 grams; possession of drug paraphernalia; first-degree criminal mischief involving damage of less than $1,000; and tampering with physical evidence.
Three Stolen Four-Wheelers Recovered
Two Trumann residents reported Sept. 24 that their four-wheelers had been stolen overnight, police said.
Investigators working with the department’s Real-Time Crime Center identified people believed to have been involved. Officers recovered both four-wheelers along with a third four-wheeler reported stolen from Bay.
Police said one juvenile was taken into custody and arrests of two additional juveniles are expected. The department did not identify the juveniles.
About $1,800 in Property Returned
In a separate case, Officers Wongattilin and Galvan responded Sept. 21 to a Trumann residence after about $1,800 worth of property was reported stolen.
The officers located the property and returned it to its owner, police said. Marquee Bell was arrested and accused of theft of property valued at more than $1,000.
Chief Doug Thomas announced the arrests and recoveries in a written statement from the Trumann Police Department.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
