Poinsett County Operation Leads To 12 Arrests

HARRISBURG, Ark. — Twelve people were arrested during a countywide sex offender compliance operation in Poinsett County, Sheriff Kevin Molder said in a release.

The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office conducted “Operation Protect Our Children” with Arkansas Probation and Parole. The sheriff’s office said the arrests were tied to alleged sex offender registration violations and other offenses found during compliance checks.

According to the release, deputies checked whether registered offenders were living at reported addresses, providing accurate information and following the law.

Those arrested were listed as:

Donald York, failure to comply with registration report requirements.

Ricky Collins, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Timothy Carter, Act 570.

William Morgan, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Alvin Bromley, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Joe Johnson, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Christopher Mullins, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Walter Chamberlin, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Clifford Bates, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robert McKenzie, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gillard Burton, failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

Dustin Phillips, failure to comply with reporting and registration requirements.

The sheriff’s office thanked the Trumann Police Department for allowing the use of its holding facilities, as well as deputies, detectives, jailers and dispatchers involved in the operation.

Sex offender compliance checks are about accountability and public safety. These laws exist to protect our communities, especially our children. When offenders fail to comply with registration requirements, we take it seriously. The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office will continue conducting these operations because the people of this county deserve safe neighborhoods and peace of mind.
