PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Bono suspect was arrested after police said Walmart asset protection reported two females tried to leave a Paragould store with more than $1,000 in unpaid merchandise.
According to a probable cause affidavit, officers responded to Walmart on April 12, 2026, for a reported theft.
Walmart’s asset protection told police that two women tried to push out more than $1,000 in merchandise without paying. Store personnel were able to recover the merchandise, but the females left the scene before officers arrived.
Police said Walmart provided a description of the vehicle involved, along with its license plate number.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage, which the affidavit said corroborated the report and allowed one of the females to be identified as Asia M. Morgan.
Morgan, 20, of Bono, was later located by a neighboring jurisdiction, arrested, and taken to the Greene County Jail, according to the affidavit.
Police noted in the affidavit that Morgan admitted she had been at Walmart in Paragould with another individual.
Morgan was arrested on a charge of theft of property more than $1,000 but less than $5,000, a Class D felony.
Judge Curtis Hitt set Morgan’s bail at $10,000 cash or surety.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
