JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro suspect is accused of sexually assaulting a minor following an investigation launched after the child made a disclosure to authorities, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Glen Michael Ray, 46, of Jonesboro, has been arrested on charges including rape of a person less than 14, a Class Y felony, and offensive relations with a child, a Class A misdemeanor.
His arrest came after the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline received a referral on Aug. 19, 2025. The report stated a boy under 14 had disclosed sexual abuse by a family friend.
On Oct. 29, 2025, a CACD investigator interviewed the child using the Child First forensic method. The affidavit states the victim identified Ray as a trusted friend of the family and said he was allowed to spend nights at Ray’s residence in Craighead County. The child stated the abuse began in February 2024, when he was 12, and lasted several months.
The victim’s parents were interviewed and confirmed that Ray had unsupervised access to the child for an extended period. They said the child disclosed the allegations after their family had moved out of Craighead County.
Ray has not yet made his first court appearance, and no bond has been set at this time.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
