JONESBORO — An 18-year-old defendant is facing a class Y felony rape charge after a woman reported a sexual assault to Jonesboro police on Nov. 17.
Officers were called to a residence where they spoke with the alleged victim and a witness. The victim told police that Bryan Mills, whom she identified as her live-in boyfriend, forced sexual activity despite her telling him no. She reported that she resisted but eventually “gave up,” according to the affidavit.
The victim also reported two previous incidents of non-consensual sexual activity in August 2025 and again on Nov. 11 of this year.
The witness, identified as the victim’s brother, told officers that she had confided in him about the alleged assault that occurred earlier in the day and the prior incidents.
Mills, 18, was arrested on a class Y felony charge of rape, which carries a potential sentence of 10 to 40 years or up to life in prison.
Judge David Boling set bail at $1 million cash or surety, with a GPS ankle monitor required upon release. His next date in court is set for January 23, 2025.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Details have been withheld to protect the victim
