JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro man is accused of setting fire to a home last week, according to the city’s fire department.
The Jonesboro Fire Department said crews and paramedics responded at 4:36 a.m. Sept. 18 to a fully engulfed structure fire. A resident was inside when the blaze started and was taken to a hospital by ambulance for evaluation and treatment.
Fire marshals began investigating the cause of the fire and, during questioning of the resident, identified the incident as an act of arson. The resident, 39-year-old Timothy Meadors, was later accused in the case.
Meadors was taken into custody and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center.
He is awaiting a probable cause hearing.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
