JONESBORO, Ark. — A young man was arrested this week in Jonesboro after police say they found him near several vehicle break-ins carrying the same amount of money reported stolen by a victim.
Around 6:48 PM on Aug. 19, 2025, JPD responded to the 1300 block of Lakewood Drive about a vehicle break-in. The victim observed a male suspect inside of her neighbor’s vehicle, described as wearing all black, including a black hoodie with a design, and a black mask.
The victim thought to check her vehicle, and found five one-dollar bills missing.
Officers arrived and observed a male subject, later identified as Lebron Mhoon, walking eastbound on Lakewood about two houses down from the incident. Because of his proximity and matching description, officers detained him for further investigation.
During a search, police found five one-dollar bills in Mhoon’s possession, consistent with the amount reported stolen by the victim.
Lebron Damir Mhoon, 18, was arrested on two counts of breaking or entering, Class D felonies, and misdemeanor theft. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
His next court appearance is set for October 30, 2025.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
