JONESBORO, Ark. — Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding a second shooting that occurred Sunday morning on State Street in Jonesboro.
Shortly after 11 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of State Street. Police said no victim was found at the scene.
Minutes later, a hospital notified dispatch that a 31-year-old male had arrived with a gunshot wound. Officers responded to the hospital. The extent of his injuries was not disclosed.
Police said the morning incident appears to be unrelated to the Saturday night shooting on the same block, in which two people were hurt and one person was arrested.
