Police: Man Previously Accused of Grooming Child Had Hidden Cameras in Home

JONESBORO, Ark. — A man who was already facing allegations of sexual grooming of a child now faces more charges after police say they found hidden cameras in his home, including one in a juvenile’s bedroom.

Kevyn Bowen, 43, was arrested on May 23 for allegedly sexually grooming a child, a Class D felony. Bowen made the $25,000 bond and was released.

However, detectives continued to investigate his cell phone and discovered nude images of a juvenile victim in a bathroom investigators believed to be in Bowen’s former residence, a new probable cause affidavit filed on June 23 said. Additional nude images of another juvenile victim and an adult female victim were also found.

Police also found photos of a juvenile changing clothes in a bedroom. Detectives do not believe those in the photos were aware of being photographed.

On June 18, Bowen was arrested on new charges. On June 20, detectives executed a search warrant at Bowen’s residence. The affidavit says they found two covert cameras, with one being in a juvenile’s bedroom in the residence. The juvenile was unaware of the recording device.

Detectives also confirmed that a bathroom in that residence was where a nude adult female was recorded.

Bowen faces two new charges: distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexual conduct involving a child, a Class C felony, and video voyeurism, a Class D felony. On June 23, bail was set by Judge Tommy Fowler at $100,000 cash or surety, with the judge noting that figure had previously been set as his temp bond last week, and that Bowen showed up on time.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 31, 2025.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
