Craighead County Verifies Voter Addresses for 2025

JONESBORO, Ark. — The Craighead County Clerk’s Office has begun its 2025 address confirmation program as part of a federally mandated effort to maintain accurate voter registration rolls, a press release said Tuesday.

The program, conducted in odd-numbered years under the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act, is intended to ensure voter registration lists are up to date.

Two types of mailers are being sent to registered voters as part of the process.

The blue confirmation card is being mailed to individuals who have had no activity with their voter registration during the past federal election cycle. Voters who receive this card are asked to complete and return it to the clerk’s office to confirm their address. Postage is prepaid.

The yellow cancellation card is being sent to voters who either did not respond to a previous confirmation card or have had no registration activity for the last two federal election cycles. Those who receive the yellow card have been removed from the active voter list. To be reinstated, recipients must return the completed card. Otherwise, they will need to re-register to vote in future elections.

Clerk’s office staff emphasized the importance of responding to either card promptly to ensure continued eligibility to vote.

Voters can verify their registration status online at www.voterview.org. For questions, contact the Craighead County Clerk’s Office at (870) 933-4520.
