Two Dead, One Injured in Greene County House Fire

PARAGOULD, Ark. – Two people died and one was injured in a house fire Friday morning in eastern Greene County, authorities said.

Paragould Emergency Services received a 911 call at approximately 9:25 a.m. reporting a fire at a home on 838 Road, Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder reported. The caller indicated that two people might still be inside.

Deputies and firefighters from Northeast Greene County Fire, Marmaduke Fire, and Paragould Fire departments responded, along with AMMC Ambulance Service. When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames, the sheriff said.

One person escaped with serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. After the fire was brought under control, firefighters found two bodies inside the home. The Greene County coroner was called to the scene.

The bodies will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy and identification.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
