JONESBORO, Ark. — A “game-changing” new business announcement was revealed by Haag Brown Commercial on Wednesday.
AutoZone will open a 20,000-square-foot regional hub at the entrance of Jonesboro’s Auto Row on S. Stadium Boulevard, Haag Brown announced Wednesday. The new facility will mark AutoZone’s third storefront in Jonesboro and its first regional hub in the area.
Founded in 1979 in Forrest City, AutoZone has expanded from a single Auto Shack location into a leading retailer and distributor of automotive parts and accessories nationwide.
The new hub will be located on 2.26 acres at the corner of S. Stadium Blvd. and Rook Road, between Bayird Preowned Supercenter and Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Dealership, and across from Kum & Go. AutoZone selected the site for its visibility and accessibility to Interstate 555 and Jonesboro’s Auto Row, aligning with the company’s goal to support the local auto industry.
“It was a pleasure assisting AutoZone with their expansion needs here in Jonesboro,” said Zac Qualls, Haag Brown Commercial executive broker. “Location was key for this regional hub, and this site, at the entrance of Auto Row, checked all the boxes. This location will expand their reach and commitment to our community.”
The store will serve as a regional hub, offering an extensive selection of products for locations across Northeast Arkansas. This approach aims to improve customer access to a wider variety of parts and accessories.
“Zac Qualls has gone above and beyond to secure off-market land for AutoZone’s flagship store in the Jonesboro area,” said an AutoZone real estate development manager. “This strategic move reflects Zac’s commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for his clients and ensuring the success of their expansion plans. Thanks to Zac’s expertise, AutoZone is set to establish a strong presence in Jonesboro.”
Haag Brown’s Nathan Eller represented Bayird Properties, LLC., the property owner, and Qualls represented AutoZone in the transaction.
“It’s inspiring to see investment opportunities come full circle,” Eller said. “A few years ago, I represented Keith Bayird in purchasing this property, and it’s been a pleasure to help him secure a long-term investment opportunity with a national brand. I’m grateful for the chance to assist with this significant deal that will benefit him and his family for decades.”
“With more than 30 years in real estate and over 50 deals completed, this one holds special significance,” Bayird said. “Securing a national brand like AutoZone as a tenant wouldn’t have been possible without Nathan Eller and the Haag Brown team. Their network, expertise, and communication throughout the process were invaluable.”
Haag Brown anticipates that AutoZone’s arrival will fill a market gap for aftermarket auto parts retailers in the heart of Jonesboro’s Auto Row, further enhancing the area’s appeal as new dealerships continue to open and expand.
