JONESBORO, Ark. – Chris Lane, a member of the Jonesboro Police Department and the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force, was honored at the 2024 Arkansas Narcotics Officers Association (ANOA) Conference in Hot Springs last week. Lane received the prestigious 2024 Paudert-Evans ANOA Officer of the Year award.
This award is given in memory of West Memphis Police Officers Brandon Paudert and Bill Evans, who were killed in a shootout on Interstate 40 in 2010. It recognizes one officer in the state for their outstanding contribution to law enforcement and drug trafficking work.
Lane’s recognition highlights his exceptional commitment to combating drug trafficking in Arkansas. The award was presented at the conference banquet, symbolizing his dedication to law enforcement.
The ANOA conference, held from May 21-24 at The Hotel Hot Springs, provided a venue for law enforcement professionals to come together to address the challenge of illicit drugs in communities. The association aims to equip officers with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively tackle drug-related issues through unity and collaboration.
