Jonesboro Authorities Arrest Four on Drug, Gun, and Gambling Charges After Suspicious Activity Report

JONESBORO, Ark. – A call about suspicious activity led Jonesboro authorities to arrest four individuals on charges including possession of drugs, a stolen gun, and illegal gambling.

The incident occurred between 7:49 PM and 9:27 PM on November 6 at the 2700-block of Curtview Drive. Authorities initially responded to a call about suspicious activity. Officers Melvin Isom and Eric Otey were the first officers on the scene. They encountered four individuals gambling with dice and money between two vehicles, PIO Sally Smith informed NEA Report.

Numerous other officers responded, and during their investigation, authorities discovered drugs and guns, including a stolen gun. The report specifically mentions 2.2 grams of cocaine and 3.6 grams of marijuana. Police also recovered an AK-47 pistol, a black AR pistol, a brown Taurus G2C, and various rounds of ammunition belonging to each respective weapon.

The following individuals were arrested: Alvin Moore, 26, of Jonesboro; Jervonta Trevon Allen, 27, of Turrell; David Clark, 28, of Jonesboro; and Fabian Gibson, 21, of Trumann. All four suspects face charges, including simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, as indicated by jail records.

The police report also lists possible charges of possession of cocaine, theft of a firearm, tampering with physical evidence, gaming devices – betting, possession of marijuana, obstructing governmental operations, and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

The 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force has taken over the investigation.

As always, all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
